Gait analysis
Gait analysis
How you walk explains most recurring foot, knee, hip, and lower back pain. A structured gait assessment shows what is actually happening under load, which a static examination cannot.
What's Involved
- Observed and video gait — Walking assessment to identify pronation, supination, and timing faults.
- Pressure and alignment — Correlating what the gait shows with your foot structure and joint range.
- Prescription — Orthotics or exercise prescribed from measurement rather than assumption.
When to Come In
- Recurring injury on one side — The same problem returning after it appears to settle.
- Uneven shoe wear — One shoe wearing markedly differently from the other.
- Pain further up the chain — Knee, hip, or back symptoms with no local cause.
