IV hydration therapy
IV hydration therapy
Intravenous fluids restore hydration far faster than drinking can when you are meaningfully depleted, and electrolytes and anti-nausea medication can be added to the same bag. Sessions typically run thirty to sixty minutes.
What's Involved
- Brief assessment — Confirming that IV fluids are appropriate for what you are experiencing.
- Fluid and electrolyte replacement — A balanced solution, with additives when they are needed.
- Monitored session — Administered and observed by clinical staff throughout.
When to Come In
- Dehydration — After illness, heat exposure, or intense exertion.
- Nausea or vomiting — When keeping fluids down has become difficult.
- Travel and recovery — Rehydration after long flights or physically demanding events.
